These terms govern your use of marlboroughplumbing.co.nz (the “Site”), operated by Marlborough Plumbing & Heating Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
These terms cover the website. They are not a contract for plumbing or heating work. Any job is subject to a separate quote, agreement, or invoice we issue, together with applicable New Zealand consumer law.

We are a licensed plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying business serving Marlborough. Work that requires a licensed person is carried out by or under the supervision of appropriately licensed practitioners.
Using the Site
You agree to:
- Use the Site only for lawful purposes.
- Provide accurate information if you submit a quote request or other form.
- Not attempt to disrupt, scrape at unreasonable volume, or misuse the Site or our systems.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Quotes and enquiries
Submitting the contact form is a request for us to get in touch. It does not create a binding contract, book a time slot, or fix a price.
Any figures, ranges, or descriptions on the Site (including service pages) are general information only. A firm price is what we confirm in writing after we have assessed the job. Site conditions, access, materials, and scope can change the cost.
We may decline work, including where the job is outside our area, capacity, or licence, or where we cannot meet the required standard.
For urgent faults, call 03 577 9278 during business hours. Do not rely on the website form for emergencies.
Contracted work
If you accept a written quote, that quote (and any attached conditions) is the agreement for that job, together with:
- the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where it applies;
- the Fair Trading Act 1986;
- relevant plumbing, gasfitting, drainlaying, and building rules.
Payment terms, variations, warranties on materials, and retentions (if any) are as set out in the quote or invoice. Title in goods we supply remains with us until paid for, to the extent New Zealand law allows.
Intellectual property
Site content, including text, photos, logos, and layout, is owned by us or used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal or ordinary business enquiry use. You may not copy the Site for a competing service, scrape content for reuse, or use our name or branding without consent, except as allowed by law (for example fair dealing).
Third-party services and links
The Site may embed or link to third parties (for example Google Maps, or supplier sites). Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that cannot be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- loss caused by your use of, or inability to use, the Site;
- reliance on website content that is general in nature;
- delay or failure of email or form delivery;
- indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from use of the Site.
Liability for contracted trade work is dealt with in the relevant quote and in applicable consumer and trade law, not by this website-only limitation.
Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief elsewhere to protect our intellectual property.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. If you keep using the Site after a change, the new terms apply to that use.
